Ehram fabrics are made from sheep’s wool through highly labor-intensive processes and are woven by women on traditional looms. During weaving, motifs are crafted into the fabric using the wool’s natural colors and colored yarns. In the collection, we use the fabric’s distinctive shades such as brown, cream, and earth tones. These precious, handcrafted fabrics — made from sheep’s wool and preferred for their natural, chemical-free qualities — carry deep spiritual value. Used for centuries in Anatolia, this fabric, known as Ehram, stands out with its motifs. Each motif has its own name and story. Anatolian women, who play the leading role in the production of Ehram, infuse the fabric with a unique soul through the motifs they weave.
