Eşa was born as an idea in Florence in 2016, and its foundations were laid in Istanbul in 2018. The story of Eşa runs so deep that it connects two completely different worlds. These fabrics, knitted with yarn spun from sheep’s wool and carrying traditional motifs, come to life through minimalist lines. The woolen fabrics are woven by women on looms and go through highly labor-intensive stages. During weaving, the motifs are incorporated into the fabric using the natural colors of the wool together with dyed threads. In the collection, we use the fabric’s unique tones of brown, cream, and earthy shades. Preferred for their natural qualities, these wool fabrics carry a profound sense of spirit. The ehram, which has been used in Anatolia for centuries, stands out with its motifs — each one bearing a different name and story. We have combined the modern, urban silhouette of today’s women with the mystical soul of Anatolia.
